“It’s like a 5-year-old in a gym stuffed with 1,000 bullies.”
I was editing a story tonight about how DeKalb has a horse slaughtering plant that's going to open back up soon. It was something else. I laughed out loud at it twice, which caused some speculation by the girl sitting across from me. But when I explained why I thought they were funny, she had to laugh. Laugh because she was uncomfortable? Maybe. But that's okay with me, I'll take what I can get.
The quote there, which I think should become the new description of this blog, was from the story. But contextually, it made no sense. The woman was copmlaining that when the horses are being transported to slaughter, they are frequently forced to travel in vehichles intended for smaller animals. Apparently, this reminded her of the bullies and the gym. I got this hilarious idea of a thousand copies of Moe from Calvin and Hobbes...something like that. Hey, Twinkie, gimme that truck or I'll pound you.
Okay, enough of that. Elsewhere in my life, I had a good weekend. Made some plans with Ashley to cook Thai food later, which I am excited about. Uneventful weekend. Watched three movies, and they were all decent. Appropriate. I'm out.
