Mountain Goats = Frickin' Awesome.

Man. The quality of that show is only going to make me more obsessed with the guy. Well, with his ability to write and perform music anyway. I gave him my copy of Dinner At the Homsick Restaurant and explained that I was writing a paper on it and realized he might like it. His birthday was a while ago..so...hey, why not.

I'll tell you aaaall about it later. But for now...I gotta go back to Le Rock.

So, I just kept staying up late. What was that last post. tuesday night/wednesday morning? Well, get this, Melissa and I busted our asses for nothing. But I really like that girl--she's alright.

Which is surprising for me to say, as I think I am about to officially re-enter the Metaphorical Log Cabin for a while. It's nessecary. Don't know/remember what that means? Ask me later. I stayed up so late on wednesday night/thursday morning that it was sick. 9:30 A.M. Long story. Did I remember to tell you guys I've been a bit of a mess lately? Probably not. Well, now just let it be known. If I snap, it's been a long time coming.

Do you think anyone ever called Robbie Robertson from The Band "Robo?" I dunno. Just a thought.

I'm going to see the Mountain Goats. I'm so freakin' excited. I swear to God, if something happens to stop me from getting into this show, pixies are going to die. I'll start going off just yelling about how I don't believe in them until a large portion of their population has been unbelieved right the hell out of existence.

I used to think Aaron Weinberg was nuts for staying up all night all the time. Well, I don't think he's that crazy anymore. Sometimes it just starts happening. All of a sudden, I got a shitload of work dumped on me by two of my classes. This would have been okay, except for the fact that I procrastinate. See, I kept on procrastinating too long. I spent all day today with my friend Melissa, and...well...we discussed our papers at great length...but somehow we failed to work on them. We ate lunch at 12 (shortly after we both got up) and then we watched Reality Bites. Then we split up and I played guitar and slept for a half hour. Then, we met back up, ate dinner and went to wal mart. Wal mart didn't have the printer cartridge she needed....so we drove to rockford to get one. Then came the hot tub.

you see how this is going. Anyway, it was a fun night. This has been a fantastic week. And I've been awake for so much of it. I think I might start having to drink coffee soon. Time will tell.

Maybe instead of sucking at sleeping, I rule at staying awake?

Okay, weekend recap: it was good. I didn't blog, I didn't sleep. Saturday I didn't enter the hottub, despite the fact that like 12 other people did. Sunday, WC and I went to see George Carlin. Pretty funny. Pretty vulgar. Then we got into the hot tub. That thing has definitley seen a ton of kids in it this weekend.

Now it's 5:12 in the morning and I'm somehow not tired. Even though I thought I was going to pass out at 11. I have a new friend here in Dekalb named Jess. So far as I can tell, she's real cool. I think she'd fit in with the rockford kids--although she doesn't eat oriental food or seafood, so both happy wok and seafood are out of the question. Oh, and she laughed at Beef-A-Roo. But everyone who doesn't live in Rockford laughs at The Beef until they taste its goodness.

Going to see the Mountain Goats on Saturday. Can't stop being obsessed with this band. Oh well. At least he's awesome. Time for me to go hum mountain goats songs in bed.
