Boy, did I ever sleep today. I don't know what it is about being in Dekalb that makes me able to sleep so much, but sometimes it's kinda nice. I worked on more HTML and a mix CD after I got up. I also listened to a bunch of stuff by The Cure...I had this desrire to listen to that and Modern English when I woke up...strange. Eventually I went to class. I have never truly felt wind before today. I could have used a coat as a kite on my way to class. And...I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I left my coat and hat and stuff in Rockford. Ouchtime. So cold. So very cold. When I got back from class, dan was watching Good Will Hunting, which is a wonderful movie. It has to be one of my favorites. For some reason, Dan and Abel and I all went to WalMart at nine or so..Dan bought Dirty Dancing and we came back here and ordered some food. Now, Dirty Dancing is ending...and I just finshed my homework. So I'd better wrap this up and go to bed. Right after we watch the bonus stuff on the Dirty Dancing DVD--because you know we've got the collector's edition. Never settle for anything less than the collectors edition--or you won't get features like the music video for "Time of My Life." Or "Hungry Eyes" for that matter...so...until next time.

Today was all about working on my speech and going to all my classes. It was my Dad's birthday, too. Talked to him on the phone for a minute. Finished (and presented) the Jeff Buckley speech. Other than that, not much happened. It was a busy day. There's massive winds down here in dekalb..it's ridiculous. Sixty mile an hour gusts.

Sometimes I find mean-spirited stuff really funny. watch this..but you may feel guilty for laughing. People who can't laugh at mean-spirited things...don't watch. I mean, I think of myself as pretty nice, but I had to laugh at that. Hard. Wow. That still doesn't touch the minivan though. So, that's it. For those of you who didn't watch the video, it's a guy who's dancing around...like for a musical or something, spinning on one leg, and he kicks a small child. Dan says he'd call it a helicopter spin. So, if you find that offensive, keep on not watching the video..but I have to be honest...as guilty as I feel, boy was it funny. Oh..make sure you watch that minivan video, too..and just in case you couldn't read the sign at the end there, it did 105 in 12 seconds and smoked a camaro with a suped up engine. Dig it.
An uneventful day to say the least. I got up early to tape a speech that I have to give tomorow (still have to write the finalized outline tomorrow afternoon.) I spent most of the day trying to re-learn HTML, which is going pretty well. Worked on some mix cds too, but the day seriously just slipped away from me while I was absorbed in projects. Lots of deep thought, too. And mellow music. Where would I be without mellow music? I don't know. I probably wouldn't be so mellow, though. Dan's been running wild all night about this website. You should look at it or at least watch this rightquick. I talked to Ashley briefly before dinner, which was cool. Made me very happy. After dinner, I put up the giant John Lennon poster my brother gave me a while back. I still don't know where to put half of the stuff I want to put up on the walls, though. At this rate, maybe I'll figure it out by Christmas. Now that's procrastination at its finest.

So, I know...I missed a few days. But not much has been happening--midterms, speeches, super nintendos..that sort of thing. Great weekend, though. So, this blog isn't for any particular day..it's just to catch up on what's been happening. A lot of what I've been doing can be extrapolated from Dan's blog, so go read it.

Let me just tell you how much I love my friends and the apple orchard and music. Lots. I was supposed to carve pumpkins this weekend, but never got around to it. I got this new "grusome gourds" video too..(We're hardcore pumpkin carvers at my house. For real.) So sometime before halloween, I've gotta carve one. It must be done. Also, this weekend, I fell in love with Ben Folds Five all over again. I've been listening to christmas music and Enter The Worship Circle a lot since I got back into Dekalb. It's good. Carson actually showed up at my dorm on thursday night during our quick jaunt to Rockford. What a fluke--the one time we take off randomly, and someone drive for an hour to come see us. Sucks. Oh well, we're going to U of I to see C-Frizzle next weekend. Well, that catches you up surpsisngly well on what I've been doing for the last few days. I forgot the Elvis Costello/Burt Bacharach album in Rockford again. Curses. But I did remember my HTML book, so maybe the blog will look extra-cool in a few days after all these assignments are done. Time will tell.
